All the things I keep alive. My heart.

All the things I keep alive. My heart.

I am an avid outdoors-woman, busy single mom and communications expert supporting my local government’s sustainable resources division. I grew up on a barrier island in Florida and now reside in the shadow of Mount Rainier in Washington State. Living in these places has allowed me to see up-close the negative impacts humans have on our environment, wildlife and even our own health.

It has always been a goal of mine to use my passion and unique skill set to create an online space that inspires people to shop and eat sustainably. While policy change is necessary to fully turn the tide on the numerous ailments impacting our planet, I believe that we should use our consumer voices to drive that change.

In this digital space, you’ll find delicious, earth friendly recipes, environmental news and tips for success. You won’t find any beef or pork here - most of the recipes will be meat free, but sometimes I incorporate chicken, fish and rarely bison. I also encourage you to follow me on my social media channels for more Earth Friendly Cook content like live videos and infographics.

From plastic pollution in the ocean to rising air temperatures caused by human-generated greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, the negative impacts on our environment are hard to ignore. But the choices we make at the grocery store and in our kitchen matter, especially at the local-level. So join me on this journey where we’ll learn a lot, eat well and have fun along the way.
